THIS IS A MODIFICATION TO THE ORIGINAL SYNOPSIS FOR THE SAME REQUIREMENT. RECOVERY - This procurement is being funded via the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 or ARRA. Please be advised that the Awardee will be subject to Section 1512(c) of the Recovery Act which requires that each contractor report its Recovery Act funds under the awarded contract. These reports will be made available to the public. The Bureau of Reclamation, Albuquerque Area Office, has an upcoming requirement for the mechanical removal of invasive riparian vegetation such as salt cedar and Russian olive trees at the site known as Oxbow 4 on the Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge, northeast of Roswell, New Mexico. The approximate size of the treated area is 35 acres. In addition to the extraction, additional work includes re-sprout treatments via herbicide application, and re-vegetation of the treated area. Evaluation criteria for award consideration, listed in descending order of importance, will include demonstrated technical capability with emphasis on personnel qualifications and proven experience in performing similar work, past performance on similar or comparable projects, and price. Technical capability and past performance when combined are significantly more important than cost or price. Request for Quotations No. R10PS40004 using procedures prescribed by FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items in conjunction with FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be posted on or by February 24, 1010.
