Description

The contractor shall perform Mk 98 Mod 6/7 944 and 842 Embedded Simulations (ESIM) and Fire Control Simulations (FCSIM) software updates and software test to implement NOC 13 to Coordination Drawing 5760264 (US) and Void V06 against Coordination Drawing 57602645 (UK) and additional SP23 approved Problem Reports (PR) for the Mk 98 Mod 6/7 Fire Control System (FCS). •· The contractor shall perform horizontal testing for the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Fuze Test driven changes to 842 R0C3 FCS software. •· The contractor shall also deliver updated 944 R0C3 FCS (US) and 842 R0C3 FCS (UK) ESIMs and FCSIMs software reflecting the same changes introduced to the tactical SW. •· The contractor shall perform horizontal testing for the Mk 98 Mod 6 944 R0C4 Fuze Test software update being implemented by NSWCDD. •· The contractor shall perform horizontal testing for the NSWCDD driven changes to the 644 Revision 0 FCS software. •· The contractor shall perform horizontal testing for the NSWCDD driven changes to the 542 Revision 0 FCS software. Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA. GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control System and Attack Weapons Control System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
